I have recently been looking into how lighting has changed and developed through the ages, from how the quality of the light has become far superior, to how style and designs have been introduced as an important factor. The first ever man-made lights were primitive, as I am sure you would expect. Once people had discovered fire and how to create and manipulate it, they were then able to design lights using hollow stones, moss or grass and by using animal fat as fuel.
